What makes a good conversation starter?
You need to find something people are familiar with to a point, but lack enough knowledge in so as to be inquisitive. Things like Navy freighters, Akira Kurosawa movies, and random strains of weed, naturally.
- Kush
Everyone knows the term kush, but there are like 4,000 variations on ____ Kush. Now, you could have a coffee table book on Kush, OR you could just have some weed sitting on the coffee table.
Maybe have some Hindu Kush, some Purple Kush, and some Banana Kush; could set you up for a fun taste test type situation. At the very least it’ll be a conversation starter.
And there are so many variations on Kush that you could also just start making some up and see if anyone notices. Just drop the cheapest, grossest weed possible and call it Avatar Kush or Excelsior Kush, or Apocalypse Kush, or Spice Melange Kush or something. Doesn’t matter. Everyone will be INTO IT.
- Rainbow Kush
Imagine sitting on the couch, looking down at the coffee table, and seeing massive nugs of weed that are rainbow-colored. How could that NOT start a conversation?
Anyone that stops by your place will look at the glistening ROY G BIV dankness and think, “What is THAT?!” Then you’ll have an opening to spend 6 hours explaining how it gets its color and how that effects its potency or whatever.
…As opposed to normal situations where you do that unprompted.
- Big Bud
Big Bud is a strain known for spawning massive buds of weed. What does that mean for you? You can drop one giant nug on the coffee table and people will want to pick it up and ask about it. It’s so huge you could even sculpt it into something. Behemoth weed will always prompt conversation.
Bonus points if you sculpt it to look like a coffee table book, or better yet, sculpt it into the actual coffee table. Just be careful not to put anything hot on the it, as it might start burning and you’ll accidentally blaze.
On second thought, do that. That actually sounds pretty sweet.
