Are you of legal age to consume cannabis related news?
Recently, Seth Rogen has been posting homemade vases on social media. My first instinct was, “Well that’s nice, he has a hobby!”
Today, however, I had an “Aha” moment and it finally dawned on me:
He’s making pots. Get it? Like, pot? Cuz Seth Rogen? Right?
Now, I suppose it’s entirely possible he’s legitimately just making vases because it’s a fun pastime. Maybe he was gifted a pottery wheel and felt guilty not using it. He might also just be recreating that Ghost scene with Paul Rudd.
All of these are perfectly reasonable explanations.
But I’m pretty sure it’s because they’re pots. I mean, what’s more likely, Seth just randomly was like, “Uhhuhhuhuh, I should mold clay, huhhuhhuh,” OR, he was like, “Uhhuhhuhhhuh, pots, like actually pots, huhhhuhhuhuuhuh.”
Do you think it’s a coincidence he just started a cannabis company and is going viral with pot-related content? That’s called marketing. Checkmate. Got him.
His whole #Brand is ‘dude that smokes a lot and won’t shut up about it,’ so it stands to reason he would make pot and never stop talking about it. Checkmate again!
You can debate all you want, but I think the signs are there: Seth Rogen is making pottery now because the word pot is in it and NOT because it’s a fun pastime he took up during quarantine.
Cameron Foley is a comedian and writer. He’d prefer you call him Cam.

Speaking of absurdity, did you know there are still over 40,000 people locked up on nonviolent cannabis-related charges around the US? It’s time to let them out.
